Our 40 dorm rooms are furnished with either a queen-sized or twin-sized bed (4 twins available).
All beds have foam-encased pocket-coil mattresses manufactured locally using local materials.
All rooms are single occupancy, complete with a queen / single bed, desk, chair, desk lamp, dresser, floor lamp, closet, and private washroom.
There is a telephone landline in each room, which students can use to make free local and toll free calls.
There is also WiFi access throughout the building. Each room is supplied with an ethernet cable to plug in directly or to set up one’s own wireless router.

Applications: Applications are considered complete when we have received ALL of the following:
Incomplete applications will NOT be considered. Carey is a ministry of the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada (CBWC), and preference will be given to students who are members of CBWC Churches. References: People chosen as references cannot be peers or family members. References must be mature persons who have known the applicant for a minimum of two years. We recommend references from pastors, teachers and employers. If necessary, one reference (maximum) may be from a family friend. Notification: Successful applicants will be notified by mid-April. Applications submitted after the notification date may still be considered, and if necessary, will be held on a waiting list. Non-Refundable Deposit: Following an offer of residency, a non-refundable deposit of $700 is due within 5 days upon acceptance. This will be refunded only if your application to UBC or other colleges on UBC campus is not accepted. Failure to pay the deposit may result in loss of the residency offer at Carey. |
